Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, children everywhere are facing an increased risk of being abused due to the stress and isolation of quarantine. Even more worrisome, because people like teachers and doctors aren’t regularly seeing the children under their care, it’s less likely that child victims will have their abuse reported.
CARE House has been working to make sure these children don’t fall through the cracks, continuing their collaboration with local law enforcement and CPS to hold forensic interviews and transitioning to virtual therapy sessions to eliminate gaps in treatment for children receiving those services.
Your support will make a critical difference for vulnerable children in our community during this incredibly troubling time. Donations made prior to November 10 will be matched dollar for dollar up to $150,000 allowing you to double your impact, supporting families in crisis.
We hope that you will consider supporting child safety in Oakland County this year.
