Remembering Chris Bieszczad

It is with broken hearts that we share the news that our dear friend and colleague, Chris Bieszczad, passed away on July 12. Chris served as a Case Manager for the Court Appointed Special Advocates for 6 years, bringing wit and humor to his work. Anyone who knew him will tell you he was a champion for children and believed wholeheartedly in the CASA mission.

A constant presence at CARE House, Chris was often the first person at the office each morning and the last to leave at night. He worked tirelessly for our Advocates and the most vulnerable children in our community. As a final act of heroism, Chris was an organ donor, giving strangers another chance at life.

The CARE House team will miss Chris very much. He was more than a colleague, to us. He was a friend, a mentor, a practical joker, and a force to be reckoned with. You couldn't help but laugh with Chris. You couldn't help but like Chris.

Please know that we are here, if you need to talk, have questions, or want to share stories. The loss of a community member is so difficult, and we are here to support you in this time.

Chris, thank you for your friendship, your wisdom, your humor, and your extraordinary advocacy. You made such a difference in the lives of everyone around you. Thank you for everything, Chris. We miss you already.
