Nurturing Parenting Program®

The Nurturing Parenting Program is an intensive, research-based child abuse prevention program for at-risk families. This family-centered, outcome-oriented approach brings at-risk families together each week using a curriculum focused on five core parental attitudes, including non-violent behavior management and empathy.

Program evaluation has found significant positive behavior change in families completing the program.

CARE House of Oakland County provides two separate versions of the Nurturing Parenting Program; one aimed at families with young children (ages 5-11) and another for families with teens (ages 12-18).
